After our adventurous trek to the other side of campus last week for a rather great super-group combination of English and Digital Humanities folks, we make our triumphant return to room 3027 in the Arts block this Wednesday. We return to our usual two speaker format and will hear papers from Ian Kinane and Jim Clarke.
We might be returning from our epic journey but the topics for discussion suggest a metaphorical voyage is on the cards! Ian’s paper will be ‘Theatre of War: Survivor:Palau as a Pacific “Lieu de Memoire”‘. Jim’s paper is entitled ‘Rome in the Rain: Reflection in the Collaboration of Anthony Burgess and David Robinson’. Both abstracts can be read here: https://staffpostgraduate13.wordpress.com/abstracts/
We’ve been delighted with the interest in the series so far. Hopefully we’ll see many of you there. As always, we will be found nursing a fizzy drink in the Duke afterwards so do join us for a chat!
